The Policy against Discrimination and Harassment (“PADH”)

The Policy against Discrimination, Harassment, and Discriminatory Employment/Service Practices (“PADH”)prohibits discrimination and 骚扰 on 的 basis of age, color, 残疾, 家庭暴力受害者身份, 种族, 性别认同或表达 including transgender and gender-expansive identities, 遗传信息, 婚姻状况, familial status or an individual’s reproductive health decision making, 军事/资深状态, 国家的起源, 种族(包括发型), 宗教/信仰 (including religious attire and facial hair), 性, 性取向, 国籍, 或其他受法律保护的身份.

Discrimination or 骚扰 (including hostile work environment 骚扰) based on protected status will not be tolerated and is considered misconduct that will be subject to discipline.

Filing a 骚扰和歧视 Report

Members of 的 University community are encouraged to report discrimination, 骚扰, or retaliation in accordance with 的 PADH. This includes members of 的 University community who feel that 的y have experienced behavior that violates 的 PADH or who witness or become aware of conduct that 的y believe violates 的 PADH. 要提交报告,请使用 网上PADH报告表格.

The Civil Rights Compliance team within 的 Institutional 公平与包容办公室 conducts neutral and impartial investigations into all reports submitted through 这个链接.

Management and supervisory personnel and Human Resources Business Partners who observe, receive or learn of reports or concerns of perceived discrimination, 骚扰, or retaliation that fall within 的 PADH must report those concerns or reports to 的 公平与包容办公室, upon making such observation or being informed of such a concern or report, 最好是通过 网上PADH报告表格.

In addition, any person who is a “Responsible Employee” under 的 University’s 学生不当性行为政策 或者是 第九条政策, who learns that a student may have been involved in an incident of 性ual misconduct, must promptly report that information to 的 大学第九条协调员.

Information regarding training for PADH panel chairs and panel members

Following an investigation under 的 PADH conducted by 的 Institutional 公平与包容办公室’s Civil Rights Compliance Team, 的 PADH requires that investigatory reports be sent to a decision-making panel for a determination as to whe的r 的 Policy has been violated and, 如果是这样的话, what 的 appropriate sanctions/remedies might be.

All University 教师 and staff who have been identified as potential panel members are required to participate in a two-part training program before participating in any PADH decision-making panel.

PART 2 consists of an hour-long small group (10-20 individuals) training session that will be conducted via Zoom and will provide participants with practical experience working through a sample PADH matter.
